2024 Stewardship Campaign

With gratitude for God’s abundant gifts and His blessings of "new things" in the faith journey of our Congregation, I/We joyfully make this financial commitment to further the mission and ministries of St. Michael Lutheran Church.

A “Never Ceasing” Call from God

Although our formal 2024 Stewardship Appeal has reached its conclusion, our calling to be faithful stewards of God’s abundant gifts & blessings never ceases. Starting with our Baptism, we are continually called by God to joyfully and gratefully share these gifts with others.

At St. Michael, we are blessed with a legacy of faithful stewardship and the presence of the Holy Spirit who inspires us to walk both familiar and new paths in fulfilling the Mission of our Church. A fulfillment which is only realized through our generous giving of time, talents and financial treasure.

As we approach the coming year, let us reflect on the new ways God is calling each of us to a life of faithful stewardship. Walking a new path in our faith journey is not always easy, comfortable or convenient. It often requires us to prayerfully step out of our “comfort zone” to serve others, help build our Faith Community and support the Ministries of St. Michael.

And with the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit, our steps down new (and sometimes familiar) paths will surely lead to the discovery of the real joy found in gratefully giving back to God what is His already.

A message from our Stewardship Committee

Week 1 Message

As our 2024 Stewardship Appeal enters its first week, let us set aside a few moments to offer to God this Prayer of Stewardship:

“Generous and loving God, You call us to be disciples of Your Son, Jesus Christ and good stewards of your many gifts. Open our hearts and minds to a greater awareness and deeper appreciation of your countless blessings. Inspire and transform us through the power of your Holy Spirit. Help us to walk the path of a stewardship way of life marked by faith-filled prayer, serving one another & our neighbors, and sharing your abundant gifts in support of the ministries of St. Michael. Teach us to always answer Your Call of “whom shall I send”…with the response of a faithful steward: “Here I am Lord…send Me”!

We pray all this in Your Son’s Name. Amen”

Week 2 Message

As we enter the 2nd week our Fall Appeal, let us take a few moments to reflect on these words of Thomas Merton, the renowned Trappist Monk, poet, and author:

To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in everything He has given us—and He has given us everything. Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonders and the praise of God’s goodness.”

As faithful stewards at St. Michael, we are grateful for God’s blessings of “new wonders”, and His abundant gifts in the life of our Congregation. May our gratitude “awaken the praise” for God’s goodness, and lead to a collective, generous response to our 2024 Stewardship Appeal.
