New 6-week study: Philippians!

Women's Bible Study will be doing a 6-week study of the book of Philippians on Mondays at 1:00 PM this spring. Class dates are 4/7, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, and 5/19. Contact Jaymie Lacombe for more information and to sign up by 3/24. All are welcome!

Philippians is a short New Testament book written by Paul to the early church at Philippi. A key theme is the mutual joy of community in Christ, established by God's ongoing work and the promise of the gospel. We will use a Book of Faith study guide published by the ELCA's Augsburg Fortress. 

Mondays 1:00 to 2:30 PM

Who

• Open to any members of St. Michael and the greater community.

• All levels of bible knowledge are welcome.

• Join us any time! There is a chair for you at our friendly table or a square for you on the Zoom screen.

What

• Our purpose is to grow in bible literacy, faith, and fellowship.

Where

• In person at St. Michael and concurrently on Zoom.

When

• Mondays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM

•  We meet for lunch once a month at noon before our regular class time, for either a potluck or BYO lunch.

How

• To prepare each week: we suggest spending an hour or two at home reading the scripture and answering questions in the study guide. However, there is no pressure to do the prep work! Everyone is welcome to engage in the study at their own pace.

• During class: we go through the lesson together and share our answers. We also share prayer requests and have a time of prayer.
