Women’s Bible Study News
New Study begins April 29
Have you considered attending bible study but felt a bit intimidated or just too busy? Spring is a great time to join our friendly group for only four weeks!
WBS will do a 4-week study of the book of James from April 29 through May 20. We meet on Mondays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the church and on Zoom. The study guide is an ELCA Augsburg Fortress publication in the Book of Faith series, written by Mark Wickstrom. The Men’s Group recently studied James (with a different study guide), so this could make for some interesting conversations at home and around the church building!
James is known as a “wisdom” book and is one of the shorter books in the bible at only five chapters. Many scholars believe it was one of the first books of the New Testament written, and is attributed to James, the brother of Jesus. According to the study guide, “the power of God for living daily life is revealed in the collection of sayings in the book of James”.
All are welcome! Please contact Jaymie Lacombe to sign up. The deadline to order books ($6 each) is April 1.
